Hi there, my name is Melissa du Plooy born and bred in George. I am now a mom and a wife who after 8 years in the big City, has returned to the George, my childhood home town.
Those who know me would say i love connecting people, networking and discovering new things and places.
They say, 30 families move down to the Garden Route every month, and in the short time that my family and i have been back in the area i have met a number of these families.
When i ask why did they move down majority say “they wanted a change of lifestyle, something more simple and closer to nature.”
The area has so much to offer but i often hear people asking “what is there to this weekend, anywhere interesting to go?” Or i read on Facebook people asking “where can i find this or did you know you can do this?”
And this is how My Garden Route was birthed, word of mouth is a powerful tool in smaller regions.
My Garden Route is a online interaction vlog showcasing, uplifting and discovering:
